RAP TR Ll TATEMEwr RAP trustees and management committee members are very keen noi io be holding onto money unnecessarily. bul because we believe suslainability is paramount to our beneficiaries we feel this is necessary but RAP as many other small chanties operate withoul HOLDING reserves , having worked over the years with little reserves. as we only generate enough income lo keep our services going and are not able lo pul much aside. Ihe key to our ability lo continue has iwi endless drive lo achieve aims by being able to keep a very close eye on future income sources, cash flow. budgets and resources. It has noi been a nice position lo be iffj bul does show that a5 an organisation we can survive on little reserves and deliver fantastic charitable objectives as we have done over years. Many funders (8overnmenL I￿al authority. trustslfoundations and corporate alike) often offer only restricied funding and v¢ry liiile contribution towards overheads which perpetuates this position. So reserves are noi the focus of attention but our abilily as an organisalion lo survive and keep going. RAP has not been set UP lo limil lo ac¢urnulale funds bul 10 apply its fund resources to its service provisional charitable purposes, and iherefore justify when we are able to hold any reserves al end of year it is balancing the need to spend on our beneficiaries (or charitable purpose) against beginning of nextlfollowing year. while sourcing funds for the year. After consideration and &8sessmenl of knefil of not spending reserves. RAP as a charity will only be depriving itself from being able to apply money resourced to etTicienily and effectively deliver ils charitable objectives - which is one of the dulles of tn￿ree$. RE PLANS R.A.P was esLqblish¢d in March 2001 and has gained considerable recognition amongst the abused and linked organisations and partners.
