We share our garden with the toddler group, take part in the village carnival and fete. **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** - Staff have good relationships with the children and parents. - • We provide learning opportunities for the children which centre around their needs. ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - policy on grantmaking; - policy programme related investment; - contribution made by volunteers. **TAR** March **2012** 3 Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** This financial year has been a difficult year for Robin Nursery School, along with everyone else. The situation with COVID-19 has meant that there have been many uncertainties and we were closed for much of the summer term. We were not able to access government grants due to the high percentage of our income being Government funded. The numbers of children on role were lower than expected and some parents chose to keep their children out of a nursery setting once we were able to reopen. During this financial year we have: - Continued to use tapestry to communicate with parents and support families – this has been especially important during times of isolation for families. We have have used both Tapestry and Facebook to share activity ideas for families and staff have read stories to be shared with children - Prepared children to successfully move on to the Village primary school and other local schools - Planned activities which focus on child development and individualised learning, helping children to take the next steps in their learning journey - Prior to COVID-19 we were able to hold fundraising events, including our Nativity which took part in the local church. **TAR** March **2012** 4 ## **Section E Financial review** We have a reserve policy in writing.
