The Charity Commission in its Charities and Public Benefit Guidance requires that there are two key principles to be met to show that an organisation’s aims are for the public benefit. Firstly, there must be an identifiable benefit. Secondly, the benefit must be to the public or a section of the public. The Trustees confirm that in setting the Charity’s objectives and in planning its activities, they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Charity’s aims and objectives. Section D Achievements and performance of the main Summary : During the year, the Charity received a donation of shares valued at achievements of the charity. £223,958. The above-mentioned gifted shares were subsequenily sold at a value of £219,905 and the proceeds are included within the total of investment proceeds under section A2.
