1. Accountlng Pollcles
Basis of preparation
These financial statements have been prepared under the historic cost convention
(except for investments shown at market value) in accordance with the Financial
reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008), The Statement of
Recommended Practi￿, Accounting and Reporting by Charilies issued in March 2005
(the Charities SORP 2005) and with the Chafities Acl 2011.
Basis of recognltlon and allocation of expendlture
Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure
includes VAT which cannot be recovered and is reported as part of the expenditure to
which it relates.

Assets which cost £100 or over are capitalised. Donaled fixed assets are capitalised at
their eslimated value. Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates to write off
each asset over its estimated useful life

The Church is recognlsed 88 a charity by HM Revenue & Customs and therefore
benefits from certain exemptions from taxation on income and gains, lo the extent Ihey
are applied for charitable purpos8s. No lax charges have arisen in the year.
2. Incomlng resources
Restricled funds (income and endowment) are funds subject lo specific reslriclions
Imposed by donors or by the purpose of the appeal. The purpose and use of
designated, restricted income and endowment funds is set out in the notes to the
financial statements.
Unrestricted funds consists of the general funds and and designated funds.
Designated funds are funds established by the committee from lime to time for specific
projects or purposes, are not in any way restricted and any surplus or defi'cit will be
transferred to I from the general fund when the designated fund is closed.
