Christ-citadel international Church (UK)
Report for the period 1st January to 31st December 2020
Background
This report is prepared for Christ-citadel International Church for the financial year l January 2020 to 31 December
2020. Thi5 report highlights the activities of the church and an audited financi31 report is attached
The church continues to operate in two locations in the United Kingdom namely NDttingham and Derby. Derby church
which initially started as a satellite branch has been operating as a ful￿-fledged church with a pastor assigned c)n
fulltime basis.
Object￿e5
The Dbjectives of the church have remained unchanged as Stipulated in the constitution of the charity. The main
objective is to advance the Christian faith while prowding pastoral and prayer support for members and the community
that the church serves.
Advancing the Christian faith
The church continues to meet thi5 objettive through artive follow up and discipleship program of our members as well as
carrying out evangelist programs that are driven by one to one strategy. M￿￿TS of the church were encouraged to
reach out to individuals at their pla￿ of work or communrty wf(h the message of our Lord Jesus Chrlst Individual
members of the church effertively did this through a pro8ram that we call personal evangelism. In 2020, the church'5
programs were seriously affected by the gcwernment directive to close pl￿ of worship in March due to the covid-19
pandemic.
The lock down was itself very devastatlng in the sense that all the programs that happen in the church came to a
complete stop. The ministrie5 affected by the IC￿down were
Men's ministry

Women's mlnistry

Response of the thurch due to the Pandernic
The church qulckly switched to livestrearns of the Se[W￿ initially carried out from the church and later streams were

l. Performance of the Charity in 2020
The church continue to carry out certain activtties in a different fomat as the￿ was face to face meetings
Pastoral Visits There were no pastordl home visits as ifjsttors could not be entertained. Ministers resorted to use
the phones a lot to speak to congregants to find out how tlw were copying wtth the situation everyone was
facing.
Men's Ministry. No meetings were held for the whole year
Women's Minisby. The women met wa Zoom and had some virtual cooking sessions where they baked bread,
samosas. carrot cake. banana bread. The children and Youth also kn)k part in the sessions and people were
encouraged and able to interart despite beir￿ under lcthown restriC￿n5 at the time.
Youth Ministry. The Youth Mini51ry continued to meet Virtual￿ on a fortnightly basis Ma Zoom to encourage the
Youth. The YoLrth Mrtually recorded from their homes a short film entitled 'What Ne￿￿ inspired by the COVID-
pandemic and Current I￿ueS. The Youth had an intemational virtsjal Youth (x)nf2renc2 where they were
encouraged ané also were able to interact wtth other5 all exper￿ncing the pandemic in their respective
countrles.
The Youth continued their weekly prayercall via Zc¥Th on Monday evenings.
Children's Church. The￿ was no children's church as the church was closed. However the children did participate
in Christmas virtual carol Service where they prerecorded Bible ¥er5e recitals abDUt the birth of Jesus. These
were recorded from their h)mes and cTrnpiled and incorpK)rdted in the virtual Christmas Carol Service which was
prerecorded and broadcast on Christmas Eve.
Homecare Group. There Vdas no physical home thurch meeting5 due to restricbons, however members of the
church in their homes had daity prayers on a virtual prayedine which then moved to Zoom video conference.
Members were able to connett Virtual￿frOM the comfort of their homes and pray together. Member5 met daily
to pray and be encouraged especial￿ at the heEht of the pandemK vthen there was so much fear and members
had lost jobs and schools were shut.
Music Ministry
The Music ministry were athve through(Nrt the pandemic as they had songs which they p￿ ￿Corded virtually on
a weekly basis to be used for the virtual services that We￿ broadcast. Members would record their parts on their
phones and subrntt to the producer who would put the music and v(tals t￿dether for each service. The team

Section D
Achievements and performance
Finance In 2020 the main fvnding for runnlng the church came from donations given by the faithful members of
the church by way of tithe, general offering5 and special offerirEs. HOwe￿r the income of the church was
seriously affected because the church lost out on face to face donat￿n5 and offerings that are collected every
Sunday.
Summary
The pandemic afFected the church in so many ways. The major loss of inci)me created a problem for the church with the
repayment of the mortgage which forced the church to get a mort8age holiday by paying interest only for a persod of
three months.
We also noticed that there were s¢yne problems with the churches frdbric beLause of the c105ure.
