## Trustees’ Report Year Ended 31 August 2023 

The Trustees present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 August 2023. 

## Governing Instrument: 

The charity's objects and regulations are regulated by the constitution adopted in 1994 and the charity is an unincorporated association. 

The objects of the charity is to provide educational and cultural facilities to the young and adults muslims of shadwell and its surroundings. To meet these objectives the charity seeks charitable donations and grants from the public at general and other institutions. 

The charity is organised with a committee (Board of Trustees) elected by the members to oversee the overall activities and one of the committee member is nominated as chairperson, to monitor the day to day running of the charity. 

## Trustees and/or principal officers: 

The following officers of the charity have held office for the whole of the year. 

## Chairman Treasurer Secretary 

The trustees are eligible, in committee, to appoint additional trustees under the terms of the constitution. 

## Activities and Achievements: 

During the year the charity continued to collect donations from the mem bers of public as well as Friday jummah collection. There are continuous commitment from the users end members to support the charity's activities. 

The charity also provide social welfare, educational and worship facilities and the number of users are increasing every year. 

## Review of Transactions and Financial Position: 

With the committmentas indicated above, the financial position of the charity is very secure with net fund of £356,337 as at 31 August 2023.

## Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities. 

Under the Charities Act 1993 , the trustees are required to prepare a statements of accounts for each financial year which gives a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity at the end of the financial year and of the incoming recourses in the year. In preparing the statement, the trustees are required to: 

- select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently, 

- make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent, * state whether applicable accounting standards and statements recommended practice have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the statements of accounts. 

- * prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue its operations. 

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial positlon of the charity at that time and to enable the trustees to ensure that any statement of account prepared by them complies with the regulations under section 42(1) of the Charities Act 1993. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the trust and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities

## INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF

## Year Ended 31 August 2023 

We have examined the accounts and statements on pages 7 to 8, which have been prepared on the basis of accounting policies set out on page 9. 

## Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner: 

According to the provisions of Charities act 1993, the trustees agree that an audit is not required for this financial year. However due to provisions of the same act an independent examiner is required. 

## Basis of Examiner's Statement: 

The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of ireland (as applied to small entities by section 1A of the standard). 

## Examiner's Statement: 

Bases on our examinations, no matter has come to our attention which gives us reasonable cause to believe thal in any material respect accounling records have not kept in accordance with section 41 of the Charities Act 1993, or that the accounts presented do not accord with those records or comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act 1993. No matter has come to our attention in connection with our examination to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn to enable a proper understanding of the accounts.
