Report of the Directors for the Year ended 31[st] March 2026
The Directors, who are also the Charity Trustees, present their report with the financial statements of the company for the year ended 31[st] March 2026.
Principal Activity
The Company was incorporated on 2[nd] October 2000. Its principal activity in the year under review was the provision of a Collection of objects and records representing the history of the businesses and people of the London Borough of Harrow. The Collection is used to advance the education of the public about the London Borough of Harrow and the surrounding area by the provision of museum services.
The Collection is situated in Harrow at Headstone Manor and Museum. Parts of the Collection are on display from time to time in the Museum, which is open to the public during the year at published times.
In the year ended 31[st] March 2016, the Trust concluded an agreement with the Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Harrow whereby the London Borough of Harrow will continue to care for and to manage the Collection owned by the Trust for a period of twenty-five years. A period of fifteen years remained at 31[st] March 2026.
The Collection is not valued in the financial statements as there is no current intention to dispose of any of its contents. In the event of the Trust wishing to dispose of the Collection, or any part thereof, within the remaining period of the above agreement, it shall in the first instance be offered to Harrow Council by way of gift or sale.

The company is entitled to exemption from audit under Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 for the year ended 31[st] March 2026.
The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year ended 31[st] March 2026 in accordance with Section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for:

(a) ensuring that the company keeps accounting records which comply with Section 386 of the Companies Act 2006 and
-
(b) preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of each financial year and of its profit or loss for each financial year in accordance with the requirements of Section 396 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial statements, so far as applicable to the company.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the special provisions of Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies and with the appropriate Financial Reporting Standard.
