REVIEW OF THE YEAR

Development

As a club I am happy to say that we are now in a strong financial position in terms of funding for our future development and regular activities.

We maintain a committed base of players, parents and volunteers to deliver all of our endeavours both on and off the field.

With the support of Nike, and thanks to them, we are now in the strongest position in our history, and able to plan ahead for the next 4 or 5 years, without the constant worry about gaining funding for our regular work.

Projects

During the reporting year we came to an agreement with Nike, who made a major financial investment in our work this year, having observed our work, and the work of others in the area, that the money they gave Stanley House Academy for projects, in the current financial year, to sustain our bread and butter delivery into the future.

Marketing

We have been engaged in joint work with The World in One City, and their Annual football tournament; some of our members can be seen in a video, made by Liverpool Football Club.

Finances

We are aware that out financial reporting has needed to be improved, and we have taken advice from a colleague who helped us establish the company originally.

The accounts submitted to Companies House have been incorporated into this revised set, for the submission to the Charity Commission.

For the next financial year we will ensure that we better meet our reporting responsibilities.

Board

There were no changes to the Directors during the reporting year.

Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of Stanley House Academy

I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31st March 2022, which are set out on pages 1 to 6.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act)) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to:

Basis of independent examiner’s statement

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.

Independent examiner’s statement

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
