OBJÉCTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objecllves and alms
To wtsrk towards elimlnatlng dlscrlmlnatlon, to promote equallty of opportunlty and good relations between all PEf50n5 in the
Boroueh of Charnwood, in the County of Lel¢estershire.
The trustees havE paid due re8ard to 8uldance 15sued by the Charlty Cornmisslon In decldlng what activities the charity Should
undertake.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charltable a¢tivitle5
As a 5trateglc partner of Charnwood Boroueh Ctsuncll, the charlty contlnued to play a major role In prornotlng communlty coheslo
by co-ordinating inter-falth and Inter-cultural events Includlng Loughborough Mela. The charity continued to work with like-minded
partners.
-The charlty'5 FSve-Year Natlonal Lottery Cotnmunity funded prolect IP051tive Mlnds Prolectl ended in December 2023. We applled
to build on this work with another 5-year project which was successfully awarded in January 2024.
-EmpowHER Piolect is the new 5-year prolect funded by the NatlDnal Lottery Communlty Fund. This will build on the successe5 of
the Posltlve Minds Project wlth sorne new targets around young people and enterpr15e as well as a focus on mental and physical
health.
-The charlty secured a live-year contract with Vita Health to dellver a project on mental health aThd referrals. Thls started in April
2021 and is in Year4.
-The charity securÈd fundSng from Awards For All April 2024 for general tasework which will contlnue tlll March 2025.
-The charity securÈd some short-term fundlng fr<im the National Grld In January 2024 for 3 months which ended in M8rch 2024 for
gonÈr31 Casework.
-ThÈ charlty secured fundlng from Lloyds Bank Foundatlon In March 2022 to SUPPDrt our core work, over two y@ars.we ernployed 8
full time Operations Officer from thls grant on a two-year fixed term ctsntract. The funding Ènded in March 2024.
The fundlng a150 gave us in-kind consultancy support whlch enabled the charlty to re-vi51t its strategic aims and rnissions,
strengthen its safeEuardlng policy and Is worklng on its tnarketing, communlcations and fundralslng in 2023124 with support from
e¥tÈrnal ¢onsultants.
-The Charlty secured fundlng of £21,740 in June 2022 from NHS Leicester City Cllnlcal Commissioning Group for a project Core 20
Plus Connettors to engage with people on four ¢linleal areas. This funding ended in March 2024.
-The tharlty previously secured fundlng of E17,000 from the Ment)l Health & Wellbelng Grant Fund In Aprll 2023 to deliver a
befriending scherne. These funds ended March 2024.
