**Objects:** (A) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN INDIAN AND BENGALI CULTURE, WITH SPECIFIC REFERENCE TO THE LIFE AND WORK OF THE FIRST INDIAN NOBEL LAUREATE RABINDRANATH TAGORE; (B) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS IN ANY PART OR PARTS OF THE WORLD THROUGH SUCH MEANS AS THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE.

**Activities:** The Tagoreans aim to achieve their objects mainly by staging plays/dance-dramas, poetry recitations; organising lectures, seminars and exhibitions of arts and crafts; by setting up and running schools and classes for the teaching of Bengali language, music and dance and by holding special cultural performances to raise funds for the deserving causes.
