The trustees present their rep¢yl and the audrted consolidated financial statements of the charity for the year
ended 31 December 2021. The trustees have adopted the proviSKJns of the Slalemenl of Recommended
Pcactice ISORPI "Accounting and Rewltng by chan1￿. IFRS 102) in preparing the annual report and
financial statements of the charity.
The financial slalemenls have been prepared in accordan￿ with the xcounting pdicies set out in notes to
the financial ststements and compty vlith the Charty's governing dcumenl, the Charrties Act 2011 and

2. STRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Goveming document
The organisat￿n is a charitable company limrted by guarantee. incorporated on 1 November 2000 and
registered as a charity on 28 August 2001. The Chantab￿ company vfts established under a Memorandum
of Ass¢xialion, wh￿h established the objects and pwers of Ihe charttable company. and il is governed by its
Articles of Association. In the event of the charitable company being wound up. members are required lo
contribute an amount not exceeding £1. during the perioJ of their apwntmenl as a member and for a period
of 12 months after res•Jnalion.
Appointment and training of new trnstees
The directors of the charitable eompary are also trustees for lh8 purposes of chanty law. New trustees a
elected by the members al a general meeting. Additionalty. the trustees may appoint a further trustee or
trustees. Under the Article5 of Assoeiats"¢￿ one thi￿ of the trustees are iequired to retire annualty and offer
themselves for rtrelection.
Due to the nature of the charity. the Board of Trustees is sekcted based ijn their expeits.se and thar abilty to
eontnbule to the firture welb*'ng of the charity.
New trustees are briefed on I￿•T legal oblwJatvJns as a trusteeldirector under charity and company law, Ihe
conlenl of the charty's Memorandum and Art￿￿S d Association. the decision-making prlxess, the bLtsiness
plan and supporting financial plans.
Principle risk$ and ￿n￿rtaInt*S
The key business r¢sks affecting the charty relate to ils fvnding wurces. cperational financial risks and
project risks. The Board of Trustees and senior executNes revi￿ the risks of the chantable company on
regular basis and have implemented polic*s and pr¢xedures to rnrt￿ate exposure to these risks. to ensure
CoMpl￿nee wi(h health and safety standards for stsff and scheme partKipalors and to ensure that that all
regulations regarding the manag￿ent and ￿ntact with children are adhered loo. In addrtion, a review of all
financk31 risks is undertaken on a regular basis. The main risk currenlty considered signfftanl would be the
duction of fvnding from any of the major grants (Jjrrentty receNed. This risk is negated by the use of a
funding fall off d￿Ument to ensure that contingency funding is Njenlified to cover any changes.
Organisational structure
The Board of Twstees. whrth has an independent Chairrnan. meets regular￿ formal board meetings at
which they receive detaI￿d actNty and financial reports. They also discuss key projects and ideas with Ihe
charity's leadership team, agree and review policies, re￿￿ prog￿$$ and monitor perfomance. The board
includes direclors and senior management of Nonvich Cty Football Club PIC and trustees ￿th specific
expertise trom both private and pl￿1￿ sector organk8*ion$.

6. PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
The charity has completed construction of its community hub The Nest, follwng a successfvl fvndraising
campaign. It will aim lo make The Ne51 a su51ainabEe facilty by using it to deliver its own ￿t￿rt￿$ as much
as possible and by attracting external bcokings and viSrto￿.
The primary ci)jeclive of the charity's fijndraising aclNly wll once again becoff* lo support and sustain its
communty delwery. The charity will continue to ￿entsfy and devekjp programmes lo tackle sc¢ial issues in
Norfoll(, workry in partnership with many key organi5ations.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financial statements have been prepared in ac￿rdanCe wth Aetountiny and Reporting by
Charbties.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to chafrties preparing their financial
statements in accordance with the Financial Rer<Kting Standard applicab￿ in the UK and Republic
of Ireknd IFRS 1021 issued on 16 Juty 2014. the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the
Unrted Kingdom and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102}, the Charities Act 2011, the Companies Act 2CI
and UK Generally Accepted Practice as it applies from 1 January 2015.
Norwich Cty Communty Sports FtyJndalp)n meets the definition of a Publ￿ benefft enlty under
FRS102.
The financial statements are presented in rthrrtls stediThJ and a￿ rouNJed to the nearesl pound.
Company status
The charty is a company lirrmted by guarantee. The membets of the company are the trustees named
on page 2. In the event of the charty being wound up. the I￿￿111ty i) resp￿1 of the guaranlee is Imiled
to £1 pw member of the chanty.
Incoming resources
All inct)ming resources are inclLthd in the Statement of Financial ActNities ISoFA} when the chaity is
legalty enlrtled lo the income after any perf0m￿nCe COndrt￿)rt$ have been rt, the ar￿Unt can be
measured reliabty, and rt is probable that the income will be receNed.
For grants and don*ions lo be recognised the chanty wll have been notifod of the amounts and the
settlement date. If there are condrtions att&hed to the grant crf donattsn and this require5 a level of
perfomiance before entrtlement can be ¢)btsined, then incorne is deferred until those cC￿d￿10nS are
fulty mel or the fulfilment of those condth.orts is within the eontrol of the charity and it is probable that
they will be fulfilled.
Income from trading activities includes ineom eamed frsjn fundrnising events and trading activitie5
to raise funds for the chanty. Income ts recewed in exchange for supptying goc4Js and services In
Order to raise funds and is reccrfJnised when entitlement has cccurred.
Resources expended
All expenditure is accounled for an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that
aggregate 811 costs ￿lated to the category. Expenditure is recognised where there is a legal or
conslruclive obligation lo make payments to third parb"es, rt is pro￿￿ that the sett￿ent will be
required, and the an￿Unt of the rtJlvJalh)n be measurèl reliabty.
Support costs allocatlon
Support costs are those that assisl the work ol the charty but do not direct￿ represent charitable
ath'vrties and include off￿e cosls. governance costs and adminislralive costs. They are incurred
directly in support of expenditure on the objects of the chafty. support costs cannot be dir￿tlY
attributed to headings. they have been alkcated to Cost of rak%ing funds and expenditure on
charitable ￿tr¥it￿ on a baws consistent wrth use of the resources.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds are avail*Jle for use at the di5cre¢ion of the trustees in furtherance of the general
0￿ectiveS of the charrty and wh￿h have nol been deswJnated for ¢Xher purposes.
Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that have been Set a$￿e by the trustees for particulai
purposes. The aim and use of each deS￿nated are sel QLrt in the notes lo the financtal
statements.
Restricted funds are funds whth are to be used in 8CC4)rdarKe with specffic reStr￿110nS irnposed by
donors or which have been raised by the charity for SFecrt purposes. The cost of raising and
administering such funds are charged against the specrfK fund. The awn and use of each restrthd
fund is set OLrt in the notes to the ffinanC￿l 51atery*nts.
Government Grants
Grants received from the government are recognised wrthin the Stat￿ent of Financial ActNilEs ISOFAI.

Penslons
The chanty operales a defined contribution penshjn scheme for the benefrt of certain staff members.
The assets of the scheme are hetd separately from those of the charity in independenlty administered
funds. The costs of ContribUt￿n$ a￿ wtitten off against profrts in the year they are payable.
Operatlng l•ases
Rentals applicable to opefaling leaw are charged lo the SOFA on a straigh14ine basis over the
period in which the cosl is incurred.
Financial instruments
The d)arilable company has esected to apply the prow$￿nS of SeCt￿n 11 'Basic Financial
Inslrumenls, and Section 12'0ther Financial Instruments 1$$￿$. of FRS 102 to all of ts financial
instruments.
Financkal instruTh￿nts are reccgnised in the chartable company's bajance sheet when the charitable
ccmpany becomes party to Ihe contractual provisions of the instrument.

The chaity is an exempl ¢harty within the meaniry of schedule 3 of the Charrt*s Act 2011 and
considered to pass the tests set out in Paragraph 1 Schedule 6 Finance Act 2010 and therefore it
meets the definition of a Charitable Company for UK corporation tax pU￿0$e$.
The charity's 101Yh t)wned subsidiary, The Nest (Norfolk's Communty Hub) Limited. ss not exempl and
therefore pays c(wporation lax * the man rate.
Going con¢em
The financial slatetrents have been prepared on a g￿ng concem basi¥ as the trusl*s believe that no
material uncertainties exist. The trustees have conshlered the level of funds held and the expected
l of ir￿e and expendrture for 12 months frijm authorising these financkgl slalements. The
budgeted income and expendf(ure are enough wrth the level of reserves for the charity lo be able lo
continue as a going concern.

Intervenlton Team {EITI, Youth Offending Team IYOT) and Norfolk Pdice.. The project targels 8-11

has the potential to lead into more adutt behaviour and other asswated negative behaviours.
