during the year
through play according to the EYFS and Ofsted.
The management have continued to nurture the team through focus on
staff wellbeing. Members of the team have been able to pursue areas of
interest within their professional development and apply this to the
provision of education and activities to the children. The team are
supportive of one another and work together as a unit reflecting the ethos
of a supportive family atmosphere which is at the heart of the Playgroup.
The playgroup has continued to be very popular and the team have put
strategies in place and honed the application process to best
accommodate increased demand for new places in the future as well as
providing an increased number of hours for current children as they get
closer to school age.
We have continued to develop our links with the Primary School and the
wider community. The playgroup liaised with the Village Produce Show
Committee to decorate a Christmas Tree at the recreation ground and
will be entering in the September Produce Show for the first time later in
2025. We have held a number of successful fundraisers including a
Christmas Fayre and a Quiz Night at the Village Pub. Plans are currently
underway for CoaleyRocks, our now annual music night fundraiser and
Coaley Sheephunt which has become a whole community event with
involvement from a multitude of committees and businesses within the
village. Despite the economic climate and inherent difficulties with
fundraising in such strained times we are grateful for the continued
support of our community.
We have adequate reserves to be kept for unexpected expenses or
improvements needed & redundancies
