authorities and other organisations in a common effort to relieve povety and sickness, to advance education and to provide facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said community. In addition to providing a place of worship for the Muslim community, the Society's objectives and activities include raising funds in order to aid general charitable purposes. This involves helping those poorer countries suffering in povety and in need of aid and relief. The Sociely is also involved in providing education and training where most needed in the interest and development of the community. It also promotes sports and recreation facilities. The Society also works with the local authorities and other organisations with common views to the above services and facilities provided. It is my responsibility to-. examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act, to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145{5){b) of the Charities Act, and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
