Trustees’ Report for the period ending 30 August 2025
The Trustees are pleased to present their report together with the accounts of Friends of Worplesdon School (FoWS) for the period ending 30 August 2025.
Thank you to all the pupils from Worplesdon Primary School who took part in many of the fundraising events and a huge thank you to all the sta�, parents, carers, extended family members and the wider community. You all helped contribute to a very successful year of fundraising.
PTA Objectives
FoWS PTA is a charity that aims to enhance the education of pupils of Worplesdon Primary School through:

Developing e�ective relationships between the sta�, parents, carers and others associated with the school.

Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
Constitution
FoWS PTA is an unincorporated charity. The Charity adopted the Parentkind constitution on 14 May 2001. A copy of the amended version, dated 2018, is available on request.

Financial Review
Accounts are prepared under the Receipts and Payments cash accounting methodology as allowed by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
The year opened with a bank balance of £7,525 and closed with a bank balance of £13,564 .
Gross income, during the period under review, was £28,893 .
Expenditure decreased from £25,952 in the prior reporting period to £22,854 in the period under review. ( £12,146 for funding school projects, £10,072 for costs associated with fundraising events and £636 for other expenditure).
This produced a surplus for the year, of £6,040 .
The Trustees regularly review income and expenditure at committee meetings, to ensure there are adequate funds available to meet commitments made, as they fall due.
Assessment of Going Concern Status
After another very successful year of fundraising, the trustees intend to continue with fundraising events during the 2025/26 school year and beyond.
This fundraising activity will allow further equipment and experiences to be funded for
The trustees all agree the charity is set up to be a going concern over the next 12 months and beyond.
