SJAA'S policy on reservés 18:
a) To designate sufficA8nt reserve8 to:
1. Pay all grants that have been approved but not yet paid
2. Cov8r the cosl for a reasonable period ahead of grants that have not yet been
approved but which, Ikcause of their recurring nature in the past, might be expected
to continue
3. Provide for emergenGy requests e.g. water w8118. thal may be received.
4. Accumulala reserves to be able to fund larger scale projects such as Ihe
buildinglrefurbi8hment of schools.
In view of SJAA'3 low operats'ng Gosts, the truste8s do not consider it necessary to
designate any reserv88 to cover such costs because it would be an immatettal amount.
b) To release reseNes as orants only when reasonably certain that proivcts to be aKJed
ar8 appropriate to the d8velopment needs of the local comrnunities, have the requisite
prionty cthipared to other potents'al projects, and will be well executed 80 using SJhA
