## **Annual Summary** 

2023/2024 has been another successful fundraising year thanks to the PTA committee, parents and teachers at the Orchard Infant School. 

The marquee events during the year consisted of the Christmas and Summer Fair, Quiz Night  and Leavers Ball.  They  raised  the majority of the funds and  contributed to developing the relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school. 

Over  £10k  was  spent  on  books,  £7.5k  laptop  trolley,  £5k  on  ipads  and  £4k  on playground repairs to support the school and advance the education of pupils. 

These events and activities meet the objectives of the PTA. 

The year started in September 2023 with £23,677 in the PTA bank account. £38,266 was raised in the year from fundraising events and £49,587 was spent in direct costs in holding these events as well as the direct contributions to the school mentioned above. The closing balance in the account as at 31 August 2024 is £12,356. 

The PTA plans to use the continue funding raising efforts into the following year with a target of contributing to a new learning pod for the school.
