## **Annual Summary**

2021/2022 has been a very successful fundraising year thanks to the PTA committee, parents and teachers at the Orchard Infant School.

Events such as the Summer Fair and Ball have contributed to developing the relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school. Equipment such as books and gardening supplies has been provided to support the school and advance the education of pupils. These events and activities meet the objectives of the PTA.

The year started in September 2021 with £8,265 in the PTA bank account. £53,581 was raised in the year from fundraising events and these events incurred direct costs of £30,612. Indirect administrative costs were £845.

The PTA has made direct contributions to the Orchard School of £11,802 in the year. These funds have been used to purchase resources and activities directly for the children.

The year closes in August 2022 with £18,586 cash in the bank (increase of £10,322 since the start of the academic year). The PTA plans to use the majority of these funds to purchase shade structures in the playground.

The PTA typically retains reserves in the region of £3,000 to be used to prepay for events as required.
