CHARITABLE OBJECTIVES
To provide, maintaln and improve the Youth Club's land, buildings and activlties in an
environmentally friendly manner to help promote the physical, mental and spiritual
wellbeing of young people and the local community so that their conditions of life maybe
improved.

The Dlrectors present their report and the unaudited financial statements of the charity for
the year ended 31 March 2025.
GOVERNING DOCUMENT
The Blrkenhead Youth Club Is a company limited by guarantee, not having a share capital,
and is governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association. It is registered as a charlty
with the Charity Commission.
RISK MANAGEMENT
The Trustees have a programme of rlsk assessment and systems that are in place to ensure
that risks are regularly reviewed and mana8ed. All systems are in place to prevent
unauthorised access to children and to property and for the protection of children, staff and
volunteers from harm or abuse.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
The Birkenhead Youth Club had a successful year in achieving its charitable objectives. It has
had a busy year providing plenty of activities for our members with football Still beln8 the
principal activity.
The hollday clubs, despite reduced Government HAF funding, still provided a wide range of
activities and trip outs to a large number of attendees. They have given our members
experiences they would never normally have been able to enjoy which also has the added
benefit of supporting their families, by 8ainfully occupying and feeding their children during
the holidays.
The Club also provides a special place for the community to celebrate speclal events, in
partlcular our annual Halloween and Christmas parties.
FINANCIAL REVIEW (Includlng reserves pollcy)
Income for the year amounted to £136,95612024 £176,918)
Net surplus / (expenditure) for the year was £4,38212024 E20,500}.
There is no formal reseD4es policy though the Directors aim to keep sufficient Cash reserves
to maintain itself for several months.
Unrestricted reserves at year end of £33,632 {2024 £22,850).
The drop in current year income was primarily due to the prior year includin8 money ralsed
of £55k for solar panels.

The directors are confident that there are sufficient financial resources to cover the next 12
months, while at the same time every endeavour will be made to provide as many services
and activities as possible to support the Club's members.
DIRECTORS RESPONSIBILITIES
The Directors are responsible for keepin8 proper accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Company and to enable them
to ensure that the financlal statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Company and hence for taking reasonable
steps for the detection and preventlon of fraud and other irregularities.
This report has been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies
subject to the small companie5 regime as set out in part 15 of the Companies Act 2006 and

the audit requlrement o15ecllon 43 {21 of the Charities Act 1993 (the Artl does not apply. It Is my
responsibllity to stale, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Dlrectlons glven by the
Charity Commlssioners under Sectlon 43171{b} of the Act, whether particular matters have come to
my attention.
8asls of Independent Examlners Report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity
Commlssloners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and
a comparlson of the Accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of anv
unusual Items or disclosures in the Accounts and seeking explanations from you as Trustees
concernin8 any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evldence that would
be required In an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the vlew given by the
Accounts.

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attentlon:
