across the county - and we have an ever-grthwrtrJ waiting list of schoois eager to be 'adcpted'. In
addition to the voluntary time invested by our members and ￿ wider hosp41alrty industry who are
absolutety passionate aL￿ul what they do and for whom food is their reason for bein9. Adopt a School
h85 an on-5taff team of S including 3 regional chef lèctu￿1$ daity t*allengiry children's 5ense5 and
captivating their curiosity for focxj and teathing about its signfftance in every asped of ¢xJr knvgs.
We deliver sessions mainty in classrtsm but also on farrrs. We ¥4tJrt with 8 number of special
educational needs schwls. youth dubs and T￿th many schools where thldron come from
dtsadvantsged bat*grounds. We have been working with Great Omiond Street for many years and
we now also work wth Evdina ChilJren'5 HOS￿￿1 and Chelsea aThl Westminster Hospital. We have
discovered that ctrt)kery can be an eXWti￿al educalional to many children who find ieaming
tough, having the added benefft of helping to devoknp teamwork and communication skilLs.
Adopt a School is a way of kfe. It 15 about improvW￿ the lives of y(Kmg people and changing habits so
that the nexl generalions continue to benefft. We beI￿ve strongty in the principle of good.
sensible eating is the key to healthy MY￿. body aThJ nath)n and of llwaluable benefrt to social
behaviour.
We al$0 believe that the ujrrent apwoath towards fc￿ edLThlion needs to b8 transfomwd so that it
has a secure and defnitive plac* on the curriculum - all children. Our workshops integrate with
many key syl1al￿$ subJ'8cls.
Financial Review

The state of the nath)n's economy arHJ Iho o)nfidgnce fathr aro aknys a feature in fuffilling the plans
of the Trust and, this has understandabty been another partKularly challenging year for the Trust.
While we have been unable to benefrt from our usual calendar of furKlrai&ng events. we have still
spent time fundraisThJ and with some success.
As in previous years. there has been great Sup[￿ from grant-makers. The Savoy EdLThtional Trust
has been a supporter since 1996 ènd the Worshipful Company of CN)ks since 2CX)O, and more
re￿ntly. we have receNed grants from Ihe Gaffiekl Weston Fcwndation, tho Worshipful Company of
Innholders. The Band Trust and Tabte Talk FOunda￿n - all phllars of support both financially and
moralty. In addition, Ihe University of West Lonth)n has sponsored Ashley Marsh for 21A days a week.
The Trustees have no need to be d1$apr￿ in effc¥ts of the learn. Appluti0Ths to grant making
bodies are 8 constsnt part of the Twsl's woth lo secure th& f¢rture. But we are aware Ihat we are one
of many 81s0 sed(ing fundiNJ. We have unreslrthd reseNes of £165,385 arxl restricted reserves of
£71,260 as at 31 Oecembef 2021.
