helpin8 young people in Nottinghamshire be healthy, safe, ¢onfident and succes5fi]l. Notts CYP are passionate
about ensuring equality of opportunity for the most marginalised young people in Nottinghamshir< therefore
havc always worked hard to tsr8et young p¢ople with the greatest disadvantage- many from areas of d¢privaiion,
with low socitl mobility and social isolation.
Over the past 7 years, Notts CYP h&8 predominantly work¢d wilh young peoplt with disabilities (many
¢ompl¢x} andlor additional learning needs via activity programmes. sports sessions, infonnal ￿uCatiOn. life
Skills, Gooking classes and social sessions. These weekty sessions include open access youth Club provision for
young people. sports sessions including table t¢tU115' badminton- Sup¢r I's ¢ri¢kel' fooiball,. basketball- life
skills and personal dev¢lopmeot se$sion5.' social events.. adventure days; sports ¢OA¢hing* fith¢s5 sessions. drama
workshops and tournament opporwnities. Notts CYP also deliver Vocational cour5eS to our members,
volunteers. staff, usergroups and the wider community; Ihese include First Ai¢L Sof¢8uardin& Briiish Sign
Language, Health Safety, Food Hygiene, Volunteer Passport, and Youth Work.
Notts CYP not only offers ¢ss¢ntial and spcrialised support for young peopl¢, but it also enables invaluable
respiie for parents and ¢arers. The vulnerable young people who a¢¢es$ Notts CYP 5ervice5 develop their
personal and social skills, building their confid¢n¢¢ and self-esleem by focusing on their abilities Irath¢r than
disabilities) and persottal Str¢n8ths. thus helping rhem to achieve their fijll potential, b¢¢om¢ a¢tiv¢ citizens and
lead a better quality of life.

We r¢m8ined open throughout the whol¢ of th¢ pandemic and continucd to support our young people through
different mediums. We have continued to r￿rUit new members ittto our overall s¢tvices. Our "Chop it like its
hot" group has flourished and i$ now catering for the eommunity on a w¢ekly bo$1S.
We delivered 2 more employability cout5es. One of which was for parentsl¢arers which 30m¢ ¢xc¢llent
outcomes.
We employed 2 young people frorn the Governm¢nt'$ Kickstart programmc, and wcrc able to source fi]ndin8 t
offer them both further employment after the s¢hem¢ finished. This gro￿￿ th¢ staff t¢am and has enabled us
to offer more sessions to our young people taking into consideration ihe additional support they n¢ed.
We werc also succ¢s$thl in se¢uring fund5 for a new, long awaited, sports hall roof. It kn felt like this y¢gr has
been busi¢r than ever.

We provid¢ a diversc trdining programme and an events prograrnme for youn8 p¢opl¢ to participate in. Young

young people to improve their employmetsl prospeGtS.
