The company's objective and principal activity during the year continued to be the provision of out of hours burial services for the inhabitants of Leicestershire irrespective of which faith or belief they follow. This is to ensure that the board has the skills and experience required to oversee the management of the charity and its operations. This includes an explanatkon of their roles and responsibilities, an introduction to other trustees, an overview of recent business and an expkanation of board format and process, plus a personal meeting with the Chair. Risk Management The directors have a risk management strategy which includes an annual review of the risks the charity faces and the establishment of systems and procedures to mitigate those risks and implementation of procedufes designed to minimise any potential impact on the charity should those risks materialise. Review of activities for the year The charity recorded a surplus of £8,180 (2023: deficit of £9,798) for the year. The detailed results are set out in the attached financial statemènts. Reserrfes policy The directors aim to ensure that sufficient funds are maintained to enable the charity to carry out its activities. Small company provisions This report h.as been prepared in accordance with the provisions in Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006 applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The directors conflrm that they have complied with the duty in Section 4 of the charities Act 2006 to have due regard to the Charity Commssion's general guidance on p.ublic benefit.
