Hebron Evangelical Church – Report 2025
Sunday – The church has it’s Sunday service each week at 10:30am, which is open for anyone to attend to worship. There is Bible teaching, singing, prayer and refreshments are served at the end of the service. There is a creche in place along with activities and teaching for young people and teenagers. The service is well attended by the congregation and with regular new visitors.
Small groups/prayer meeting – throughout the week the church meets in smaller groups at the church or in different people’s houses for a time of Bible study, prayer and fellowship. These small groups take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The church also has a regular monthly prayer meeting, where anyone can attend and we pray together.
Community Hub – every Tuesday morning the church is open between 10am-12pm for anyone in the local community to come in for refreshments, free drinks, cakes, soup etc. Crafts, chess and other various activities takes place and support is offered to anyone in need. Other charities use the hub to offer their services to people and the morning is well attended by first time visitors or people from the local community who come along most weeks. The hub has been a great benefit to those in living in isolation in the local area.
Outreach - the church has continued to provide a Men’s Breakfast event which is a regular bi-monthly breakfast that takes place in the church, where men can attend to eat breakfast and then a short talk is given by someone sharing their Christian faith.

Monthly Men’s evening events take place which include various activities and are open to men to come along, build friendships and learn more about what we do as a church.
Women’s events have continued to take place which includes “Friends & Neighbours”, a monthly event that takes place in the church where ladies are
invited to come along and take part in various activities, share a meal and hear from others who share about their faith.
Partnership - the church continues partner with a number of other local churches in Wallasey to run a debt centre in partnership with Christians Against Poverty. This has helped those in the local area who are in real need with ongoing financial difficulties. The debt centre has provided practical, emotional and wellbeing support to many people in Wallasey.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 10 / 2025 .
Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

examiner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
-
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
-
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
