Whilst Ihe main story of 2024125 has been the remarkable growth of the ser4l¢e It has been achieved
dlsappolntlngly at some financial cost and I have to report that followlng a number of years of financial stabiltty and
Increased surpluses of Income in the year 2024125 the Organisation made a deficit of just over £16,000.This was
mainly down to increased staffing ¢ost&clearty th5s Is not a sustainaNe posltlon golng forward and we have taken

Here at Take-A-Break we realise ttiat the su¢cess of our story Is based on tr•VO things:
Flrstly the r8al Involv8m8nt of our customers but secondly on the strength of our Staff. Wthout the outstandlng high

and offering pay awards that mean we remain compelltNe In the local employment market. The Staff Reward and
Recognlilon evenlng has now become a pemwient fixture in the calendar and we held our Third annual event -
again at the Griff and Coton dub in Nuneaton.
I was dollghted to be able to present awards to some fantast1¢ staff and teams on the evening and I was partlcularly
struck by the sheer enthusiasm, commitmenL professionallsm and qualty of the staff we have at Take-a-Break. The
evening once again proved to bè a huge success and as always l enjoyed the opportunlty to recognlse and
celebrate the outstanding achievements of our staff who work tirelessly to ensure the customws at Take-a-Break

Reasonable assurance Is a hlgh level of assurance but Is not a guarantee that an audit C4)ndu¢ted In accordan¢e

error and are consldered materlal If, IndEvldually or in the aggreg8t8, they could reasonably be expectsd to infiuence

the financial stalements agrees to payroll records.
We have revsewed resources expended to ensurè th8se were in line with the charitys governlng document
and authorised by a responsible indivldual.
Because of the inherent limitations of an audit. there is a risk thal we will not deted all irregularities. induding those
leading to a material mlsstatement in the ffinancial statements or non-compliance with regulatlon. This risk
Incrnases the more that compliance with a law or regulation is remov8d from the events and transactions refflected
in the financial statements. as V￿ will be less likely to become aware of instances of non-compllance. The risk Is
also greater regarding trrégularitles occurrfng due to fraud rather than error, as fraud involves Intentional
¢on¢ealment. forgery, collusion. omission or misrepresentation.
