Appointment of trustees is governed by the Trust Deed of the Charity. The Board of Trustees is authorized to appoint new trustees to fill vacancies arising through resignation or death of an existing trustee. ## **INVESTMENT POWERS** The trust deed authorizes the trustees to make and hold investments using the general funds of the charity. ## **CONSTITUTION, OBJECTS AND POLICIES** The Charitable Trust is constituted by Trust Deed, and its objects are to provide worship for believers of the Coptic Orthodox Faith. The policy of the Charitable Trust to be the provision of additional finance in order that its objects stated above might be further achieved. ## **DEVELOPMENT, ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS** The trustees consider that the performance of the charity this period has been most satisfactory. The trustees would not be able to provide the various services to the congregation without the continuous support of a reasonable number of members. ## **FINANCIAL REVIEW** The financial position of the charity is considered most satisfactory for its first period of account. ## **FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS** The old Church has been demolished as building approval has been obtained to build a new one. The new hall has been constructed and currently is used as a temporary Church. They have decided on the contractor to start build the new church. ## **STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILITIES** The trustees are required under the constitution of the charity to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of its results for that period. In preparing those financial statements the trustees are required to: (a)select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently. (b)prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to assume that the charity will continue in business. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. ## **APPROVAL** This report was approved by the trustees on …6th September 2022…. and signed on their behalf. The accounts have been prepared accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice for Charity Accounts.
