2. Trustees’ Annual Report

To raise funds for the PTA of Down Hall Primary School to then provide support, activities and improve school facilities for the benefit of the pupils.

During the year the PTA organized fundraising activities including (but not limited to) two summer fetes, Christmas Bazaar & Grotto, Movie Night, Disco, Mothers & Father’s day sales and supporting the school Sports day.

Total income for the year was £29,751 and total expenditure was £22,501, resulting in a surplus of £7,250. The charity remains in a stable financial position.

The trustees aim to retain sufficient unrestricted reserves to cover future projects.

The trustees confirm that they have referred to the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity’s aims and objectives and planning future activities.

The accounts are prepared primarily on a receipts and payments basis, adjusted where necessary to match material fundraising event income and expenditure

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 and that an independent examination is needed.
