Welcome

Welcome to our 2024 annual report. In 2023 we had started to fully adjust to our new operating environment with less staffing and yet considerable demands. This led to an overhaul of our operations in 2024 to ensure we are operating in a sustainable manner. We continued to work with valued partners both at home and also overseas. A big change for us was to stop our Elevate leaders gatherings and limit the number of overseas visitors. As the year progressed we were able to slowly stretch our capacity as things started to get a new lease of life. The vision remained the same and we continue to work on the different elements of it. The finances have a steady stable feel.

In 2024 the trustees team remained the same and our wider vision team continued to meet. There were exploratory discussions about the need in the future to transition the leadership of the trust from Mark. This isn’t seen as urgent but it is in our thinking.

Once again a massive thank you to everyone who has stood with us and supported us over the last 12 months.

Church Planting and Evangelism

In 2024 all our UK Churches continued to grow numerically and also in terms of active influence in the communities they are a part of. In addition our pastoral teams were active in providing practical help and support. The Churches in Radcliffe and Llangollen continued to carry out building work on their respective properties with positive improvements being made. As the year progressed our Radcliffe Church saw the Church building being used by Narcotics Anonymous, Cubs, Drama groups and locally run ESOL lessons. The ESOL lessons are carried out under the wider banner of the Embrace Project. The project also offers support to asylum seekers and refugees arriving in Radcliffe. The Church continues to play an active role in the community. Healing and Restoration Church started to use the premises for their mission. City Church Llangollen further developed their online mission channel with a wide range of content although ill health amongst those developing the content slowed this ministry down. They also continued with the food bank helping those suffering from food poverty and continue to enjoy a healthy partnership with a local children’s nursery. Hope of Life Church continue to worship out of Radcliffe. Towards the end of 2024 we saw two new churches become part of the network. We were joined by Lowton and Golborne Community Church and Revelation Community Church in Leyland.

World Mission

In 2024 Mark visited Estonia , Poland and Spain. May saw Mark take a team of 8 people from Life Church Golborne where they were joined by Liza Avilova from Ukraine. The team worked with Way to Life International in serving Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine. They also visited Word of God Church in Narva. In Poland we have forged links with City of Saints Church in Warsaw which helped thousands of people fleeing the war in Ukraine. Mark visited City of Saints with Paul Duckworth where they ministered in both Warsaw and Łódź. Mark also visited Spain to do an Apostolic round table with Lars Kraggerudd and Angel King. We continued to offer Pastoral support to people working in a variety of nations. We also continue to support Life Changing ministry based in Egypt in their work across the Arabic speaking world.

We have continued to support the health clinic and school in the community of Buwasunguyi, Uganda and have continued to make slow progress with the building of the maternity clinic. This has all been affected by the remote

nature of Buwasunguyi. In addition the work of Hannahs children’s home in Malawi has been stable throughout 2024 with the children continuing to flourish. We now have a team of younger people working on this project who are bringing new energy to the project. One of them Rebecca Dannenberg was able to visit the project to assess the needs.

Training and church unity

In 2024 we suspended our Elevate gatherings to refocus and rebuild the network. This is just a temporary thing and 2025 will see us reinstate the gatherings.

Conclusion

2024 was another year where we were adjusting to a post pandemic environment. It is clear that the pandemic had a bigger effect than we initially realised. As the year progressed it is clear that we started to make progress in re-establishing the network. We continued to find a way to adapt to new needs that needed addressing. Our main emphasis has been on rebuilding and this new focus is paying off. As ever we are highly conscious that everything we do is because of the kindness, faithfulness and generosity of our supporters.

Report of the Independent Examiner

Passion for Jesus Accounts ending 31st December 2024

I report on the accounts of the trust for the year ended 31st of December 2024 which are set out on the following pages and as the charities trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. My examination was carried out in accordance with the general direction given by the charity commissioners.

This report gives a general overview of the accounts pertaining to this year and the proceedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently I don’t express an audit opinion on the accounts.

In connection with my examination no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements

And to which in my opinion attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
