Welcome
Welcome to our 2020 annual report. It goes without saying that much of 2020 was very different to previous years. March through to December saw our ways of operating change considerably due to the global pandemic. I had to work from home due to shielding advice. We saw further changes with our other staff with John McCann transitioning into working for New Life Church Radcliffe. Carla Pickering moved on after 8 years with PFJ in order to build a new future with her new husband. John Oldham sadly passed away from Covid ( an event that had a profound effect on us all ). The rest of our team continued to operate in a limited capacity due to the restrictions imposed on us by the pandemic. In spite of the challenges involved we did manage to keep the finances stable and we were able to acquire a Covid loan to bolster any potential shortfall. We trust you are encouraged by the progress we have made in spite of the enormity of the situation caused by the pandemic. Once again a massive thank you to everyone who has stood with us over the difficult last 12 months.

Church Planting and Evangelism
Many of our activities were curtailed by the pandemic, however, each of our churches remained resourceful finding new ways of staying connected and serving our communities. Church meetings moved across to a number of different platforms such as Zoom, Facebook live, WhatsApp etc. In addition our pastoral teams were active in providing practical help and support. It was also a time when building work was carried out on our properties making good use of the various lockdowns that were taking place. We were able to welcome a new church into the network as HRM Home church became part of us. They are an online community that even manage to span the different continents.
World Mission
The year started off as normal with Mark and Paul Duckworth visiting Zambia. In addition, Paul visited Malawi where he connected with the kingdom glory network of churches. March saw Carla and Masha visiting Indonesia where they worked closely with Firly Lalujan of CWR Manado. Carla was delayed five days due to the pandemic and Masha remained in Indonesia for four months as the borders were shut in Ukraine. A number of trips had to be cancelled and we remained on the ground in the UK. During the pandemic months we stayed connected with our overseas partners and were able to provide emergency aid in a number of countries where they had no access to government support.
We have continued to support the health clinic and school in the community of Buwasunguyi, Uganda and have made progress with the building of the maternity clinic. This has all been affected by various lockdowns in Uganda. In addition the work of Hannahs children’s home in Malawi has been stable throughout 2020 with the children continuing to flourish.
Training and church unity
We were able to hold a couple of elevate leaders events during 2020 with Andrew Murray and Mark being the speakers. October saw us holding online firestarters conference where Kim Torp ( Denmark ) and Drew Neal ( USA ) were the speakers. We continued to participate in and support the inter church initiative ‘ Bolton passion 2030’.
Conclusion
2020 was the year where our plans were massively disrupted by the Covid pandemic. In spite of this we remain strongly connected. We are hopeful that 2021 may bring in some change with the pandemic and we will be ready to adjust our operations accordingly.
