coEnplete(L Annual testillg and servicing required on the ligbtning conductor. CIDCL Fire
Extinguisher4 Emergen¢y Lighiing andHealing System have all be ¢omplete(L There
a serious Anfestation of pigeons into the tower and bdl cbarnb￿. Much re$￿tIllS detritus
required costly specialist removal and dealling. Chut(* cleaning S￿10￿8 attended by any
who can join in are r(m and it is a good way to me& oth￿S from the coDgregatiotL It also
helps with learning more ab¢)ut tbe building and what is needed to keep it in good order.
This is an opportLmity to remind EVERYONE that we cannot allow an indrvidual to
commence DIY in tILe churc￿ however well n￿nItig the offer is. We must also remind
people that ali doots, especially those accessol tu the tower aud beyond MUST be co￿ectIY
secured aft￿ use. We (k) not know how the pigeons managed tr) open one of the sturdy

out by officers of Readino Deaoery on behalf of the Assooate Archdeacon of Berkshire.
This gave us the chance to review many of our poliGies and to Up-date the church inventory
and check aIl of the plate. It was a lot of WOTk to g& ready for the Inspectio￿ but thts has
