Update report for the work currently underway In Rwanda
Have you ever wondered what happens to the smaller amounts of cash that we send through to
Rwanda? The larger sums are easier to tra￿. but here is what happens when we sent through
just £1.100 for the preschool and healthy mum groups in Munazi. This is a summary of a report
from Rwanda . . .
The hoalth mums, group comprises 30 womèn who have children of betW8en 3 to 6
yeats old attending the preschool with 35 children in the baby class and 30 in the middle
class. The activities include teaching how to prepare a balanced diet to guard against
malnutrition. the saving and credit program allowing membets to borrow smaller sums at
lower rates, and the vocational training to help them generat8 ￿n￿Me, and of course
teaching to live a Godly life.
The children of the nursery school had no comfortab18 chairs because they sat on th8
benches used in the church Y￿rShIp services. They are now sitting in a good position as
25 chairs were bought. pla￿1 in the church and aré used during classes.
Som818ssons and meaL8 are still given on mats, so two mats w8re bought to make
them more comfortable. 10 football balls and 10 tennls balls were bought for £20 so
children can play tt)38th8r.
The women who have children in this nursery school
and are also members oflh8 healthy mums groups
were given cloth for dothes so that they can att8nd
their group meetings, church worship and other
galh8rings without embarrassm8nt. 30 mums
received th8S8 dolhes with great joy. To help wrth
school fees for the children of the nursery school,
mums were
given a piglet
per three
P80ple so that
they can grow
the pigFets to genefate income. 10 piglets al a
cost £450 were distributed. The children usualty
drink the ponidge and eat fotsj which has been
prepared by their parents at school using the
kitchen utensils such as cups. plates and cooking
pans for porridge and food. The school has been
helped V•llth addibonal ccrt)king pans, cups. and
plastic plates.

Members of the groups expressed their happiness and gratitude to the d(￿orS who
provided all the preschool equipment, the piglets and clothes for the mums. They
particularfy said that during a re￿nt meeting prayer, God promised to offer a glft of
clolhes and they wished God's blessings on the donors who have beèn guided by Gc¥
in this way.
