one time. The existing Trustee5 are empowered to appoint
new Trustees to the rnaximum allowed.

The Whitton Rosser Trust
The Trustees are pleased to present their annual report and accounts for the Year Ended 31,
December 2024.
The Whitton RosserTrust is governed by a Trust Deed amended 6th October 2021. The Whitton
Rosser Trust was established in the year 2000 with the aim of providing financial assistance to
individuals in need of support and encouragement during times of hardship. The Trust is
particularly, but not exclusively, sympathetic to the needs of young people in the provision of
grants, goods or services where individuals could not otherwise afford these through lack of
means.
Application5 must be made by a third-party professional (healthcare, soclal work, youth work,
education, etc...) who is qualified and able to verify a need is genuine and appropriate. Grants
are made at the discretion of the Trustees, assessed on a case-by-case basis and largelv
confined to those living in Wales. Although the majority of 8rant5 are of £200 or less, on
occasion they may consist of larger sums depending on individual need and circumstances.
During the year, the Trustees reviewed their areas of support and decided their three main
areas of support would remain as;
Education and Training - we provide assistance to people who wish to engage with
education or training (including driving lessons) by supporting with the financial costs
of equipment and fees.
Independent Living
we support people who need resettlement, or, to live
independently, including the provision of small grants for whlte goods, appliances and
furnishings.
Discretionary Support
we are able to provide discretionary support to people
experiencing financial hardship including food shopping, clothing or utility bills.
The decisions of the Trust are made by agreement of a majority of the Trustees.
The Trustees are empowered by the Trust Deed to invest charitable funds at their absolute
discretion. The linancial policy of the Trust is to invest its funds in an interest-bearing account
with the Central Finance Board of the Methodist Church.

I have examined the accounts of the Whitton Rosser Trust and, from the documents
produced and the explanations given by Mr Andrew Chiplen (Treasurer), l am satisfied that
the above represents a trust record of the income and expenditure for the period stated,
and of the investments at 31st December 2024.
