I report on the accounts of the Fund for the star end￿ 1 October 2020.
The charitys trustees are reSPon￿bIe for the preparation of the ac￿unts. The charitys
trustees o)nsider that an audit is not required under section 14412) of the Charilies Act 2011
(thè 2011 and that an inderwKlent exaMinatiC￿ is needed.
It is my responsibilty to:
examine the 8￿nts under seclion 145 of the Charities Act 2011:
to follow the procedures kid dovm in the general Directions given by the Charitias
Commission under section 14515)(b) of the 2011 Act: and

The Melanoma Fund rdises awareness of melanoma and other forms of skin cancer via three
ational prevention campaigns. These highly supported initiaUve5 target high-r￿k sectors of the
community. prornoting the importance of protection. prevention. and early detection of
melanoma and otherforms of skin cancer.
All our campaigns now feature on our main website www.melanoma-fund.co.uk and all offer
accreditation to ensure that we can monitor uptake and impacL As a highly proacrive charity, we
strive to ensure that we retain and maintsin wide and healthy support from leading sector
organisations, èllowing us to reach a highly targeted audience, with the crippling cost of
advertising or marketing.

The campaign is partnered wlth the Garden Centre Association. the Pro(ess¢onal Gardeners Guild.
The Natlonal Allotment Sodety. GIMA and the HTA. and is supported by 9 leading celebrity
gardeners includin& Alan fitchmar5h. Charlie Dimmocl Andy Stur8eon, David Stevens, Joe Swlft,
Adam Frost, David Domoney. Anne Swithinbank and Toby Buckland.
Th15 year we have worked with our 8arden centre supporters to ensure that they become Sun
Protection Accredited to our campaign, helpin8 them protect both staff and customers alike.
Outdoor Kids Sun Safety Code
Partnered with the YDUth Sport Trust, Association for Physical Education (AfPE}. Child Protection In
Sport Unit INSPCC) and Coachin8 UL it is supported by over 120 national governing bodies of
sport and most of the UK'5 leading Qutdoor aftd coaching organisatlon
The launch of the Sun-sorted! campaign has provlded us wlth è project whlch has ensured more
children are able to discover why sun protection Is Important. whlch 15 vltal In creating health
hablts. The Sun-sorted I qulz has been taken by (Ner 220 group5 and clubs, reaching thousands of
KS2 children.
Slipl Slapl Swlngl sun protertlon campaign for golf
Thi5 15 the only sun protertion campaign in the UKfor golf. We havethe support of England Golf,
Scottish Golf, Wales Golf. The PGA, the Golf Society of Great Brltaln, The R&A. thè Golf Industries
Assoclatlon and many more. all of whom agreed to endorse the campalgn, offering the potential to
reach and Impact the UKS 4 milllon golfers.
The aim was to educate all golfer5, who are specifically at high risk of skift cancer due to their
playing habits, on the importance of sun protection and early detettion of melanoma and other
skin cancers. The camp318n wa5 5UPPQrted and promoted widely by our partner5 and the specific
8uidelines written by a team of lèading melanom3 experts.
We have over 450 golf clubs Sun Protection Accredited and alm to have 6LX) by the end of 2021.
This year. we a￿ working hard to create a charty golf day which will not only raise funds for the
charity, but generate vital awareness of our campaign's objectrve5.

Summary
We are proud of what we have achleved thls financial year. V￿rkIng hard to ensu￿ that all our
campai8n5 expand and create impact on mekI￿rna and achieve our objectNes. Our new CRM
systems are fully updated. and our database5 are managed well and with relevant compliance
policies in place.
With a team of supportive trustees. V￿ are confident that we are moving fonvard. able to scale ift
line with our ambitions and have a growing support network of fundTaisetS to sustaln ovr
artlvities.
We rely on donations from the public and from pharniaceutical grant funding which helps us with
