Chairs Report
This has been our most successful year in our PA history! Building on the new events we added last year and running them again. It was a difficult year with prices rising on hire costs for Ice Skating resulting in only a £10 profit but we were happy to provide this much loved night out, a community event for our families. Legoland also increased their prices so the margin of profit was over £700 less and Panto ticket sales £1,000 less on previous year. Possibly, the cost of living crisis does seem to have had an impact on us this year meaning parents were unable to warrant buying as many tickets for events as they have done in the past. In September we held our summer fair, and this was one of our most successful raising £7653. This event has now incorporated both the summer fair and inflatables afternoon we provided in the past, which brings in the additional profit during one event, not to mention the sunshine and time extension from the previous 2 hrs to the current 3.5.
Thanks to a fundraising initiative by Asda and Parentkind, where Asda rewarded shoppers by donating a % for every shop and this raised £761 for us just by parents shopping.
Our children enjoyed our World Book Day, Fireworks and Easter events once again, making these some of our best fundraisers.
Adding the online raffle to the Easter event increased our profit significantly and we will try this method again for future events. Classlist has proven to be a very popular platform for all things PTA.
After the considerable spends in 2023/2024, school have taken some time to think over what would be a benefit to the children and their learning, along with their working environment. We were super excited to approve, at the end of the school year, £5180.21 for a number of items to be purchased at the beginning of 2025/2026. This included desk top steel drums, STEM lego along with some other great items for the children to enjoy. There was also an agreement in principal to fund improvements to the ITC Suite, making the facility more user friendly and permanent playground structures. School are working on the costings and finer detail of the requirements.
On behalf of the Parents Association, a huge thank you to everyone that have shown their support in our efforts to raise funds for this wonderful cause.
