Activities
(1)The maintenance and preservation for the public benefit of any monument, castle or other property of historical or architectural interest in the vicinity of the Duchy lands. (2)The advancement of the Christian faith by maintaining and supporting the Queen's Chapel of the Savoy and clergy whose livings are within the gift of the Duke of Lancaster.(3)Other such charitable purposes.
Objects: (a) The Maintenance Or Increase Of The Stipends Of Clergy Who Have At Any Time Lived Or Worked In The County Palatine (meaning The County Palatine Of Lancaster And All The Rest Of The Area Of Lancashire Greater Manchester And Merseyside) And The Provision Of Advice And Assistance For The Better Support Of The Clergy Whose Livings Are Within The Gift Of The Duke Of Lancaster; (b) The Maintenance Or Preservation For The Public Benefit Of Any Monument Castle Or Other Property Of Historical Or Architectural Interest Educative Value Or Artistic Merit On Or In The Vicinity Of Land Forming Part Of The Possessions Of The Duchy And Including Any Such Property Forming Part Of The Possessions Of The Duchy Notwithstanding That IT Forms Such Part; (c) The Advancement Of The Christian Faith By: (i) Repairing, Improving, Maintaining And Preserving The Fabric And Contents Of The Queen's Chapel Of The Savoy ("the Chapel") And Its Grounds; (2) Providing For The Celebration Of Divine Service At The Chapel; And (3) Providing A Stipend And Accommodation For The Minister Or Ministers For The Time Being Serving The Chapel And Relieving In Cases Of Financial Need Ministers Or Retired Ministers Who Have Served At The Chapel; (d) The Education Of The Public By Undertaking Or Supporting Classes, Seminars, Lectures, Musical Or Dramatic Performances Or Other Artistic Activities At The Chapel And By Means Of Making Grants To Other Bodies Or Institutions; (e) Such Other Charitable Purposes As The Trustees Think Fit.
