The Tnjstees present their Report and the Financial Statements for the year ended 31 March
2025. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice
(SORP), Accounting and Reporting by Charities, issued in March 2005 and in accordance with
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS102)
effective 1 Janaury 201 S in preparing the annual report and financial statements of the
charity.The company constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Govemlng docurnont
The organisalion Ss a charitable company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 6 July 1999 and
registered as a charity on 28 March 2001. The company was estsblished under a Memorandum
of Association which established the objects and powers of the charilable company and is
governed under Its Articles of Association.
Organisational structure
The overall management of the charity is directed by the Trustees who are also Directors of the
company. They meet at regular intervals to review activities and to consider and agree plans for
future progress. The day lo day a¢tivilies are Carried out by staff employed for that purpose.

We end8d th8 year with a total of £86,374 resep4es. We have deferred incom8 of É48,280, the
majority lor the conllnuallon of the Thriving Stockwell health and wellbelng prooramme. We are
Confident that we wlll remain solvent for Ihe comlng year.
Acllvltles Report- Hlghllghts of th• Year
Thrfvlng Stockwell
Our Thriving Stockwell programme improves health and wellbeing through better connecting
services to people and supporting residents lo develop healthy lifestyles. It has been running for
three yeats, and our partners include Ihe Stockwell Primary Care Network, Art4Space, Stockwell
Park Community Trust, Mortey College. Hyde and Lambeth Together; the wider nemiork
indudes over 40 groups and organisations in Stockwell.
Last year, wilh funding from Lambeth's Connecting Cornmunities Fund and Lambeth Together,
we ran 14 peer support groups in our Community Living Rooms, organised 18 events including
Eid. Christmas, Diwali and Black History and LGBT Month activities, and promoted Thriving
Stockwell and other community activities on social media. 800 people took part in the
programme al our weekly Community Llving Room actI￿t18S and community events.
We also worked with South Lambeth and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and King's Health
Partners lo deliver the community connectorelement of the Pain.. Equality of Care and Support
in the Community IPEACS) project bmth a peer support group of black residents with.chronic
pain. This project was highly commerKJed at the HSJ Awards in December.
The peer support groups we established in the Community Living Rooms reported significant
improvements to wellbeing, e.g. those reporting poor mental health dropped from 49°A to 270/0
over the 12-week programme. and those strongly agreeing they are content with friendships and
lationships increased from 139/0 to 38Vg. Thriving Stockwell is increasingly seen as a flagship
project for engaging a neighbourhood in improving health inequalities.

Support to Portugues9 and Spanlsh speakers
Our stockV￿lI Portuguese Community project, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund,
continued to see Int￿8$ed demand because of the cost-of4iving crisis. We supported 1025
beneficiarles, including 18 older people in our Hug Group and 10 people with increased
employabilty skills.
Walcot Foundation awarded us a grant to slrenglh8n Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking
families with financial resilience, parenting skills, and access to services. We recruited a new
member of staff in October, and have so far supported 118 families and ¢arers, including mnning
vnrkshops on welfare benefits and resilience. .
Commissioned by Lambeth council Early Years departmenl. we are also running a Start for Life
programme In Children's Centres and other settings to support Portuguese and Spanish
speakers with 0-1 year4)Id children with positive parenting. financial resilienc￿, a(xessing
services and employability. Thls year 226 parents were helped through Ihe programme.
Support with Employabllity
In August, Lambeth Employment and Skills Team cornmissloned us to deliver an employment
support project lo help disadvantaged pa￿nIS into work. We supported 42 migrant parents with
emDlovabllitv skllls
Lambeth Ngtworks
As part of our work with Ihe Lambeth Fowm Netwoik we d8liv8red.the Stockwell Forurn, as
as related Thrlvlng Stockwell work. We continued our work with Lambeth council and the
Lambeth Community Hubs ne￿Ork to develop our connectivity and services as part of Ihe
Community Hubs programme. The hubs reviewed and added to a range of policy templates for
the sector, as well as providing mentoring support lo local communlty organisations.
We also worked with High Trees Community Development Trust. IRMO, Black Thrive and other
partners to develop and launch the new Lambelh Cornmunity Research Nebwork. In February
2025 we look part in Ihe new Ecology Group for H8allh and Wellbeing in Lambeth. organised by
the Neighbourhood Wellbeing Delivery Allianc￿.
RESERVES POLICY The current policy of Ihe Charity is to build up general reserves
(unrestricted funds) to a level equivalent to a minimum of six month's njnning costs.
RISK STATEMENT The Trustees have considered the major rlsks to which the charfty 1$
exposed and are sat15fied that systems are In place. and new systems will be put In place as
and when necessary, to mitiqate its exposure to malor risks.
RESPONSIBIUTIES OF THE YRUSTEES
Company law requires the Twstees to prepare financial stalemenls for each financial year
which give a true and fair view of the state of the cornpan￿$ affairs and of its Profit OT loss for
that period. In preparing those financial statements, the Trustees a￿ ￿qUired to:
salecl suitable accounting pollcies and then apply them conslstently:
make judgements and estimates that are reasonabl8 and prudent.,
prepare the financial statements on the going Concem basis unless it is inappropriate to
presume that the company will continue In business.
Thè Trustees are responsible for keeping prop8r accounting records which disclos6 wilh
r8asonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and to enable it to ensure
that the financial ststements compty the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible
for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for takin9 reasonable steps for the
Drevention and detection of fraud and other irreoularities.

ststements.
