## **THE OASIS CHURCH - NEASDEN**

_(Formerly known as the New Life Christian Centre - Neasden)_

## **Trustees Annual Report 2024- 2025 (cont’d)**

## **History** :

The church was established 31 years ago, it received charitable status in March 2001. The church became independent of New Life Christian Centre (Charity reg. Number 1054415) on April 1st 2000, with regards to administrative and financial matters.

In May 2004, the church was renamed (by the Church Board Council constitutional amendment) - The Oasis Church Neasden. This was agreed by the Charities Commission and their register has been updated to this effect.

## **Activities** :

For the past year the Church has carried out a variety of Christian ministries (see annual report) including Sunday services, midweek bible studies, prayer meetings, evangelistic and training programs.

## **Finance** :

Income for the year ending 2025 was £30,906 (2024 £44,730) and expenditure was £32,620 (2024 £38,382) and the balance sheet total was £59,808 (2024 £61,522).

The church has a mission account, building fund account and main treasurer’s general fund account held with Lloyds Bank. All our accounts are in the name of The Oasis Church - Neasden.

During the financial years to the 31st March 2021, trustees decided that Gift Aid tax reclaims should be placed in a fund for the purpose of a property and decided that it should be a restrictive fund to ensure that it was protected for that purpose. Subsequent tax reclaims were recorded in the Building Fund, albeit the receipts remained in the church current bank account. The trustees, having reviewed the financial activities of the charity agree that all Gift Aid tax reclaims should be placed in the church unrestricted fund and a fund transfer in the 31st March 2025 financial statements records the Building Fund balance as the amount in the Building Fund bank account.

We continue to give thanks to all members who have faithfully supported the ministry of the church with their tithes and offerings.

Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees / Members of The Oasis Church - Neasden Registered Charity No. 1085781 for the year ended 31[st] March 2025

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31[st] March 2025

.

## **Responsibilities and basis of report**

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

## **Independent examiner's statement**

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
