Trustees Annual Report 2021 to2022

Although we were coming out of lockdown in 2021, we were still restricted with what we could do and how we could operate.

We continued with our 2 Drop Ins each week on a Tuesday and Thursday. Our medical team continued to support us on a Tuesday and this was well used by our guests. Covid vaccinations and boosters were given to those willing to have one. Meals were home cooked by our volunteers and on occasion there was an opportunity for them to take leftovers which gave them an additional meal for later.

The Rough Sleeper Team started to join us at the Drop In on a Tuesday and this was really helpful for those who no longer had somewhere to stay as a result of lockdown ending.

The Drug and Alcohol Team also started coming to the Drop In on a Tuesday which was very helpful as most of our guests have an addiction of some sort to a degree.

As a result of Night Shelters no longer operating, we saw a huge reduction in volunteers. We rely on volunteers to support the Drop Ins and although we have enough at the moment, we are regularly trying to recruit more.

We continue to stock clothing, hygiene products, tents and sleeping bags. Any of our guests who are in need of any of these can be provided with what they need.

Our van continues to be a valuable resource and is often used to give lifts to appointments etc. The cost of this is much less than paying for taxis.
