Attivltles The charity performed a number of fundralsln8 actlvites throughout the year Including the summer and wlnter fairs. Responslbllltles Charlty legislation reqvire Trustees to prepare Flnancial Statements for each flnanclal year which glve a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Charity as at the end of the financlal year and of the surplus or deficit for that perlod. In preparing the Financlal Statements, the Trustees are requlred to select suitable accountlng policies and apply them on a conslstent basls maklng judgments and estimates that are prudent and reasonable. The Trustees are also responsible for maintaining adequate accountln8 records, for safeguarding the assets of the Charlty and for preventing and detecting fraud and othe irregularities. The Trustees are required to indlcate where the Financial Statements are prepared other than on the basis that the charlty Is a 80ing concern. Basls of Independent examlner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directlons given by the Charlty Commission. An examination Includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charlty and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seekin8 explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit. and consequently no opinion is ghien as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fairf view and the ￿port Is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
