Trustees Report (continued) Structure, Governance and Management The Aisling Project is a Company Limited by Guarantee and not having shared capital and was established on 20th November 2000. The Trust comprises the Chairman, Board of Trustees and the SeGretary. The Board of Trustees are inhabitsnts of London who bring together a broad range of expertise and an awareness of the needs of the local Irish community. The trustees meet every 3 months or as business dictates. The trustees who acted at any time during the year are as follows: John Mulvihill Aonghus Fitzgibbon Ann Woulfe The power of appointing and removing trustees is vested in The Aisling Project. Training of Trustees The Trustees are aware of the relevant changes in legislation and financial procedures and understand the requirements and guidelines relating to the performance of trustees. Any further training is arranged as required. Objectives and Activities The charitable objectives of tha Trust are.. a). Aisling is established for the relief of poverty distress and sickness of people of Irish origin who are homeless, isolated or othenNise vulnerable and for the advancement of education of such persons. b). Aisling provides supported holidays in Ireland for long-term Irish emigrants living in London who require assistance to become reacquainted with their homeland and their friends and family. c). Alsllng glves advlcè and asslstance to long-tenn Irlsh emlgrants Ilvlng In London who wish to resettle in Ireland. These objectives are achieved through the consideration of the management committee at the periodic meetings of the Trustees. The Trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance of Companies House general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Trusts aims and objectives in planning future activities and setting policies.
