SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 In 2024- 2025 Kingston Orpheus Choir
rehearsed for 3 concerts, including works
by Bach, Britten, Haydn, Handel and
Mozart.
These works were unfamiliar to many
members of the choir, and after the
rehearsals and performances the members
had learned how to sing and interpret the
music. The concerts provided an
opportunity for members to gain confidence
of performing in public, and the audience
benefitted from being able to access a
good standard of classical performance in
their home area.
