**Objects:** TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE STUDY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES BY PERSONS WHO ARE RESIDENT WITHIN FIVE MILES OF DEWSBURY TOWN HALL ( "THE AREA OF BENEFIT") AND WHO HAVE NOT ATTAINED THE AGE OF TWENTY FIVE YEARS DURING THE CALENDAR YEAR IN WHICH ANY GRANT IS MADE UNDER THE PROVISION OF THIS DEED ( "THE YOUNG PERSONS") AND WHO HAVE DEMONSTRATED SOME ABILITY IN THE STUDY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES AND APPEAR TO THE TRUSTEES TO BE LIKELY TO BENEFIT FROM FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE RECEIVED FOR THE STUDY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES

**Activities:** Promotes the study of foreign languages by young people resident within a 5 mile radius of Dewsbury Town Hall. Grants are awarded to enable young persons to travel abroad, to attend courses at educational establishments in the UK or abroad and to assist young persons with any other proposals which promote the study of foreign languages.
