The trustees who are also dlreLtors of the charlty for the purposes of the Companles Act 2006, present thelr report with the
financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31st December 2024. The trustees have adopted the provisions of
Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
ccordance with the Financial Reportlng Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l January
2019).
OBJEcfIvES AND AcfivITIES
Training
The Slte offers a psychoanalytic tralning which reflects the philosophy of the organisatlon and is for a minlmum of four years.
It offers crltlcal readlngs of psythoanaly515 and Its Ilnks to European phllosophy and femlnist theory. It alms at engaging wlth
the historicali political, theoretical and clinical developments of psychoanalysis and seeks to acknowledge the socio-cultural
speclflclty of the Indlvldual's experten￿.
There are currentty 27 tralnees wlth three taklng the Sprlng Term tsff.
The Slte trainlng Is located In London, provldlng public or private lectures, classes, seminars and workshops. It also provides
selettion and testing by theoretical and clinical written papers in accordance with the standards prescribed, of candidates
wlshin9 to become analysts. The tralnlng has two groups in London, one on a Thursday evening and the other on a Saturdav
mornlng. In contrast to many other tralnlngs, the Site does not operate year groups. People can apply to joln the trainlng at
the beginnfjng of the first temi (in October) or the second term {in January) of the academic year. Funding for the training Is
primarily provided by membershlp subscriptions, Income from public lectureslworkshops and tralnlng programmes and
training fees, and a small number of bursarles. Advertlsements for tralnlng and Slte events are located On The Slte webslte,
social media channels, and circulated vla emalls.

Publlc meetln9s, semlnars, conferences and workshops are held throughout the year.
Part of the charltable actlvlty of The Slte enables people of Ilmlted mean5 to a￿55 approprlate treatment.
Candidates in training, some members, forward the charitable aims of the Site by working with low-fee paying patlents. In
thls way patlents beneflt and the tralning of prospectlve analysts Is progressed.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE

At the tlme of wrltlng, the tralnlng groups are more or less full, wlth 27 tralnees currently reglstered, I recently passed.
The Slte runs a successful low cost psychotherapy clinlc which contrlbutes to the community and provldes suitable patients for
trainees.
Sltegelst has continued to publish and the new editorial committee Is now well-established.
Several members have publlshed books as WEII as Journal a￿deS or book chapter&
Series of workshops for prattltloners and those Interested In contemporary psychoanalysls have been held.. there have been
some highly popular events recently.
The introductory course ran again th15 year, now at the Westminster Quaker meeting house.
In concluslon, the trustees belleve that The Slte Is amply meetlng Its objectlves and appears to be a popular, hlghly regarded
and prominent psychotherapy organisation.

Reserves
Council has examlned the charity's requlrements for reserves In the light of the maln rlsks to the tharlty, and conslder the
current reserye funds to be Sufficient.
The relatlonshlp between our book-keeper and the Honorary Treasurer Is provlng Immensely useful In allowing the
organi5ation to keep up to date with It5 finances from month to month, and we are confident we have set up and Implemented
a robust system for finani7al reporting and monitorlng whlch has allowed us ts) plan more effettivelv.

Reporting Standard opplicable in the UK and Republlc of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l January 2019).,

Llabllltles are recognised as expendlture as soon as there Is 3 legal or constructlve obllgatlon commlttlng the charlty to
that expendlture. it Is probable that a transfer of economlc beneflts wlll be required in settlement and the amount of
the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure Is accounted for on an accruals ba51s and has been classified
under headlng5 that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be dlrectly attrlbuted to partlcular
headlngs they have been allocated to actlvitles on a basls conslstent wlth the use of resource5.

The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities,

There were no related party transactions for the year ended 315t December 2024 nor in 2023.
2.6. Legal Statuj of the Charlty
The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis is a chorltable compony limited by guarantee and has no share capital. The
liabillty of each member in the event of winding-up is limlted to £1.
2.7. Fund accourrtlng
Unrestrlcted funds can be used In accordance with the charitable objectlves at the dlscretlon of the trustees.
Restricted funds can only be used for particular restritted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise
when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the note5 to the financial statements.
