August 2020 to July 2021
ANNUAL REPORT FOR 202012021
This year has seen the hall closed March 2020 to July 2020 due to Covid-19.
Some of the groups returned in August 2020, with the remainder returning in September
2020.
Because of Covid 19 the income from letting fell from £9,150 in the previous year to £6,350
in this year.
During the year the committee has further improved the facilities of the hall by replacing the
plates, cups and cutlery in the hall (£1,275), painting the main hall (£ 4,250), replacinng some
of the radiators (£1,030), new floor in the kitchen (£1,225) replace the back door (£590) and
repairs to thr roof (£2,600). The committee received £4,250 in donations early in the year to
keep the hall running and with the receipt of government grants of £20,600 to fund the above
improvements. With further Government grants we have been able to replace the remaining
tables and refllrbish the upstairs office, now used by Jennifer Morgan, at a cost of £5,700.
During the year we changed bank account from Nat West to Co-op Bank. receiving a grant of
£1,250 to do so.
The bookings have settled down with more groups using the hall, and our income has
increased to a level of £1,900 per month.
We now have a caterer Using the kitchen on a regular basis from May, however she has
recently left.
As Chair I would like to thank supporters of the hall for their continued financial support and
help to improve and develop the facilities of the hall. We have not had any events in the hall
in the year because of Covid 19.
Finally, I would like to thank my fellow trustees for the help and support given to the Trust
during the year.
