**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC WITHIN SAFFRON WALDEN  AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO THE SAFFRON WALDEN PUBLIC LIBRARY (REGISTERED CHARITY NO. 310665) THROUGH ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS AND IN SUCH OTHER WAYS AS THE CHARITY THROUGH ITS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.

**Activities:** Formerly Saffron Walden Town Library Society, provides support to The Gibson Library (formerly Saffron Walden Town Library), through a programme of lectures, events,and voluntary work in the Library.  The Society manages book selection and oversees conservation of the Library's collection.  The Society also provides financial support for special projects, and acts as a consultative body.
