Rachael Chaired the meeting, Kelly Goucher typed the meeting:

Rachael started the meeting by thanking everyone for attending the meeting, she said it was lovely to be able to all sit down together face to face instead of via computer screens, she said that she would start by addressing the accounts.

Accounts

Our Accounted for year ending 31[st] August 2021

Total Income £167,646.73

Total Expenditure £172,542.19

We are slowly adding small amounts back into the reserve, We had a fundraising day October where the local binmen played football and we had a raffle, the funds we raised were £2000.00 we are hoping to save so we can provide the children with a new playground surface.

All staff that are eligible and those that wanted to opt in to the pension are completed and this is running smoothly.

Rent is currently £15.50 per hour however we have received a letter from The Littlemoor Charity and they have informed us that from 1[st] April 2022 the rent will be increasing to £16.50 per hour, an increase of £1.00. We have therefore add a look into the fees and myself and the management have decided that the following fees will come into place from April 2022

• £13.00 Per session

• £3.00 Per lunch Club

• £50p per session snack

We still have a few parents who have outstanding balances, these are being monitored now via the committee and letters have been sent out. We are meeting again next month to discuss courts for one parents who owes a substantial amount.

We have 44 children in preschool at present, we have decided thatLittle Teds and Big Teds will remain separate as we have found this has helped with the childrens development. And the older children are able to be challenged more. We have children on the waiting list ready for September. We are losing numerous children for school intake in September currently this stands at 19.

Connor

Connor left the setting in the summer holiday has he decided he no longer wanted to work in child care. We wished him all the best we were sad to see him leave and the children have missed him but he occasionally still pops into the setting and said that he will remain in touch.

Management:

Rachael thanked Kelly for stepping up into manager role whilst Hope was hospitalised in December. Hope is currently awaiting treatment for sever migraines. Kelly is happy to take the load from Hope to help release stress from Hope. Rachael informed staff that issues relating to downstairs should be taken up with the their Team Leaders, and only management if the Team Leader are unable to address the situation or require help. Hope thanked everyone for their support.

Kelly has spent the last 6 months being tested do to weight loss etc and they have found that she has celiac disease and has chronic wheat allergy to all Wheat family. Kelly is fine and will continue her role and responsibilities.

Rachael asked if there were any further issues that had arisen. At present all staff and committee members were happy and no concerns.

Leaders Report –

February 2022

Staf

Staf well being,

Myself: from November 2021 I have been sufering with Migraines, I am under the hospital and on new medication, I spend a lot of time in hospital and away from the setting in December 2021. I lost my father-in-law at Christmas.

Kelly – Kelly has now been diagnosed with a chronic wheat allergy to all wheat family, she lost her grandad in August, her uncle in November, she had covid at Christmas, lost her dig in January and she currently has her uncle very ill. But she is keeping going and smiling and said that she is ok and has no concerns.

Kristie – is happy at home now and with Jordan, She has been complaining of her back, the doctor has said that she will always have it and that she needs to learn to live with it and change her life style.

Danielle – She is doing fine and has not present concerns.

Monika – Happy and content

Katie – Happy has no concerns

Madie -Very happy, no concerns

Lucy – We have noticed she has been missing a few days work, she has fallen behind with her coursework, we are going to have a little chat with her and see if we can get to the bottom of it. she has said that she has no concerns and hopes there will be a position for her when she finishes her apprenticeship later this year.

Rachel – Happy with job, no concerns, health good.

Charlotte – Happy now that she has gotten married, she is happy and has no concerns regarding her self or the setting.

Loz – quiet seems to have changed, monitoring the situation. She says she is ok and that she is happy.

Accounts:

Accounts are ok, they came back January 2022 from the accountant.

Outgoings – 172,542.19

Incoming – 167.646.73

We have received a letter to explain that the reknt is going up in April 2022 to £16.50 per hour this is an increase of £1.00 per hour.

Our Fees April 2022 will need to increase to cover the staffing costs due to the rise in the minimum wage and due to the increase in rent costs.

Numerous parents have outstanding accounts letters have been sent to parents, names and details have now been passed over to the committee to take further.

Ofsted

Ofsted visiting has decreased from every 3 year to every 6 year minimum. Therefore we are not currently due an inspection.

Learning journeys

We decided to continue with the paper copies and not move to online as this works and our parents love our personal touch.

Training

So first aiders are running out and these will need to be redone, staf continuing with online and in house training and this isn’t changing.

Testing for covid 19

We are still testing but this has been changed to once a week. This is just to continue keeping both our vulnerable safe and others of the setting and our visitors.

We have hand gel available at all times.

44 children at present,

Children we are watching = 8

SEN = 1 EHCP, 1 awaiting ECHP 4 children in total

We are unsure if ther will be a summer concert this year however we are hoping that we can hold a Christmas concert.
