## **Trustees’ Annual report on Crown of Glory Church Receipts and Payments Statement from 1[st] April 2020 to 31[st] March 2021**

We the trustees of Crown of Glory Church do submit the charity’s annual report from 1[st] April 2020 to 31st March 2021.

Our governing document is a constitution adopted on 24th February 1998.

Our charitable objects continue to remain the same: 1. Advancement of the Christian faith in the United Kingdom and Overseas and 2. Relief of the poor, sick, needy and aged. The Church continues to meet the needs of its members and the general public, which is to preach and teach the gospel of Christ in truth. In so doing the Church has worked hard to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the members and the general public. We do so by holding meetings in rented premises on each Friday and Sunday in our London branch. Our Wolverhampton branch was dormant for this year as we still do not have a resident minister or key worker to lead it. We do recognize the need to correct this situation as soon as it becomes practicable enough for us, so that we can meet the church’s outreach goals. It is important to declare that our meetings and activities are open to people of any racial, cultural or ethnic origin. Throughout the year we have had to rely on the efforts of volunteers who have helped and supported the church’s activities in many ways, for example, witnessing to people during evangelism, setting up instruments for worship. Also, our trustees give up their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or benefits.

Our youth group continues to engage themselves in activities that are attracting youths from other areas in London. These include sports and music concerts in an effort to attract new members. We also organised a youth day that involved them making active contribution to our worship activities.

As a result of this year’s COVID-19 restrictions our annual convention was held by means of an internet radio. Even though this was a new experience, it was nonetheless a very successful program as we managed to draw in a larger global congregation.

Our cash funds at the bank amount to £34,748.56 all of which is unrestricted funds. These funds are held to enable us to meet any unforeseen expenditure that may come our way, as well as hold it in reserve for future development, such as for the use of acquiring our own place of worship.

Our main sources of income continue to be members’ donations in the form of tithes, offerings and HMRC repayment claim.

We look forward to the year ahead with a lot of ideas and great enthusiasm.

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.

Signed on behalf of the charity’s trustees.

Forming an opinion of Crown of Glory Church (Charity No. 1084028) Income and Expenditure Statement for Year Ending 31 March 2021.

I have examined the Income and Expenditure of the above organisation and report as follows:

## Basis of Opinion:

The financial records have been thoroughly examined including bank statement relating to twelve months up to 31 March 2021.

## Opinion:

In my opinion, the financial statement gives a true and fair view of the state of the charity’s affairs as at 31 March 2021 and of its surplus (deficit) for the year then ended. The accounts do not require an audit in accordance with part 16 of the company Act 2006.

## _Recommendations:_

Due to the incomplete nature of the records available, the following recommendations must be carried out in order to maintain good booking standards:

1. Crown of Glory Church must improve its records keeping function by filling all receipts relating to expenditure during the year.

2. The charity has no fixed assets, therefore, must improve the record of its income and expenditure.

3. Due to the incomplete nature of the charity’s bookkeeping activities, it is not possible to prepare any meaningful balance sheet at 31 March 2021.

4. The balance at bank as at 31 March 2021 is assumed to be as its working capital.
