Due to the sensitive nature we are not allowed to contact the ladies directly, but they would be welcome to contact us if it was safe for them to do so. We hold a monthly men’s breakfast and a ladies Saturday afternoon lunch. Members of our church invite their friends or people that they have come to know that wish to come to our church for a friendly chat. We offer meals/snacks. All food is provided free of charge and donated by church members. People can chat in a friendly atmosphere and many issues are raised and resolved. As our members cover a variety of the public, we can usually point people in the right directions should they need further help. We have a mum’s and tots group which has been put on hold due to the covid restrictions. When open this again we will be helping new families coming into our area. Mums/dads/carers/child minders can chat, discuss and share problems and experiences in our relaxed and friendly sessions. The youth group also includes nonechurch members. Both children and their parents come along, and we find that this benefits the children and their parents by spending time together and keeping the children off the streets in the evening. Young people can socialise in a safe environment with us, which we believe will increase their confidence, wellbeing and also could reduce local incidents of anti-social behaviour.
