## **for the period ended 30th September 2025**
The trustees' are pleased to present our report and accounts for the:atwoodtrust for the period ended 30th September 2025.
## **Trustees**
The trustees during the year were as follows:-
Mr Adrian Wood
Mr Alan Stapleton
Mr Phil Maynard
Appointment of the trustees is governed by the Trust Deed of the Charity. The Board of Trustees is authorised to appoint new trustees to fill vacancies arising through resignation or death of an existing trustee.
## **Investment Powers**
The Trust Deed authorises the trustees to make and hold investments using the general funds of the charity
## **Constitution, objects and policies**
The charitable trust is constituted by Trust Deed, and its objects and its principal activity continues as follow:-
1 Working to benefit the disadvantaged
2 The support of Evangelical Christian Ministry
3 The provision of education and training
The trustees have considered and implemented policies that are relevant to and comensurate with the activities of the charity.
## **Development, activities and achievements this year**
The trust saw a spike in income, due to incoming donations and a legacy payment.
Grants were provided to support further education for two non-UK based individuals. One for further studies in IT, the other in nursing.
The benefit of the recipients continuing and completing their studies goes beyond the immediate achievement, to supporting their wider families and communities.
98% of our outgoing funds were towards these grants, with just 2% covering operational banking fees.
## **Finances**
The charity has financial reserves of £33,978 (£7,805 - 2024) which are sufficient to maintain the ongoing work of the charity.

## **Trustees' Responsibilities**
The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the accounts comply the Charities Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' Report and the accounts in accordance with applicable law and the Charities Act 2011
In preparing these accounts, the Trustees are required to:
- select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
- observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP;
- make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; and.
- prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation.

## **Independent Examiner’s Report to the** _the_ **:atwood** _trust_
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 30th September 2025.
## **Respective responsibilities and basis of report**
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
## **Independent Examiner’s Statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice for Charities. The principal policies which have been used are:
