Section A — Reference and Administrative Details

The charity's principal address is School Lane, Seer Green, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 2QJ.

Section B — Structure, Governance and Management

The charity is constituted as a Trust, governed by a Trust Deed dated 17 October 2000. Trustees are appointed ex officio: the Trust Deed specifies that the Trustees shall be the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman for the time being of the Governing Body of Seer Green C of E School and the Headteacher for the time being of the School.

Section C — Objectives and Activities

The objects of the charity, as set out in its governing document, are to advance the education of the pupils of Seer Green C of E Combined School by providing or assisting in the provision of educational, recreational and other charitable facilities in augmentation of such facilities financed by the Local Education Authority or the Department for Education and Science (or any successors thereto). In furtherance of this object but not further or otherwise, the Trustees may undertake activities which promote the charitable work of the School and further the education and advancement in life of the pupils.

The Trust helps to advance education, recreation and charitable activities at or connected with Seer Green Church of England School (an academy for 218 pupils aged 4–11). It raises and spends funds in support of its charitable objects.

The Trustees confirm that they have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit, when planning and implementing the use of charitable funds.

Section D — Achievements and Performance

During the year ended 31 August 2025, the Charitable Fund received income totalling £61,046.82, the majority of which came from voluntary contributions from parents and others, and bank interest. Expenditure of £16,219.32 was devoted mainly to donations to the School budget (£16,000), and other charitable donations.

2025 was positive year for the Fund. Total income amounted to £61,046.82 and total expenditure to £16,219.32, resulting in surplus of £44,827.50 for the year. The accumulated balance as at 31 August 2025 amounted to £188,275.90.

Reserves Policy:

The Trustees' policy, to be reviewed regularly, is to maintain a continuing reserve of at least £60,000 both as a cover for fluctuations in cash flow during the year and as a cushion against major unexpected emergencies or income shortfalls at the School, and to proceed to spend over a reasonable period any surplus funds above that reserve level.

There are no funds materially in deficit.

NOTES TO THE ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR TO 31st AUGUST 2025

1. Basis of accounting

The accounts have been prepared on a cash receipts and payments basis.

2. Accounting policies

a) Income from donations, tax rebates and fund raising activities are accounted for gross when received.

b) Expenditure, including VAT which cannot be recovered is included on a cash basis when paid.

c) Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees in the furtherance of the general objectives of the Trust.

d) Restricted funds are funds that that can only be used for specific purposes within the objectives of the Trust. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for a specific restricted purpose.

e) The Trust is a registered charity within the definitions of section 506(1) Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 and is therefore able to take advantage of the exceptions given by section 505 of that Act.

3.Trustees Expenses

No sums were paid to Trustees during the year for their work as Trustees.

The Trust had no employees during the year.

4. Restricted Funds

The restricted funds which totalled £41,747 at 31st August 2025 relate to a fund raising appeal in respect of building a kitchen facility at the School in order to provide hot meals which the Trustees believe would be beneficial to the welfare of the pupils.
