Partnership Limited. trading as EBP Kent. for the year from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022.

The Company was constituted as a company limited by guarantee in March 1992. and a registered Charfty in
ALtgust 1996 and is therefore govemed by a memorandum and artides of association.
The Company's ottyective and its prir￿[Pa1 activity is to advance the education and training of young people and
adults In Kent with particular regard to the developm￿1 of ¢ommerck81 and business skills empowering tham to be
better prepared for the workp*e arKI active economic alvzens.
The Company is Organised wilh the directors meeting regulady to manage ils affairs.

This initial post pandemic year saw a s￿nif￿nI increase in demand for the ser¥￿eS of the East Kent Education
Business Partnership Lmniled. Each of the four key areas of activity increased outwt.:

The focus of the activithes during the year has been to develop qualty collaboratNe projects between business and
education so as to enhance the understanding of employers, expectations of young employees and lo empower
young people to make infonned decisions about their pro9resshJn. East Kent EdU￿tion Business Pathership
Limited, Itrading as EBP Kent). aims to provide relevance and freshness to the curriculum and to improve
businesses understanding of current developments in edu¢alp)n. Work Experience continues to be in great
demand, especially a relum lo a traditional experience of work for key stage four and five students. There is 8lso
high demand for exten¢Jed op￿rtunitieS for some students who need a more phased approach to work
experience. Our strategic aim is lo expand the highty successful Virtual Work Experience platform to offer a hybrid
approach, as needed, for both SEN St￿Jents and those wanting access to tradTiionally unavailable areas.
This has proved worthwhile for the preparats'on and support of SEN students. for students pre their extemal
placement and for students needing to access sectots where pre-16 opportunities are rK>t p(>ssible.

Work Experience has undergone some syslemK improvements this year to improve efficiency.
The Careers Guidance Service has been in hwJh demand. Schools have made individual impartial gusdance
priority for all Key Stage 4 students and have increased the amount of work for Key Stsge 3 young people. The
professionally qualified guidan￿ team provKles one-towone guidance fof young pwple across Kent from Key
Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
Even15 have seen an increase. number of large-scabe. in schoJF. Careers Exhibrtion Fairs has doubled - with
a focus on STEM employers. but also increasing the number and variety of companies for young people to
engage with. A wide range of Empbyability Events have been delivered this year. There has been an increase in
the delivery of tailored Pfogrammes for SEN schools ensuring the ￿1QUe needs of their stu(Jents are met.
Our digital capabilities have b8en significantly enhanced through high qualty systematic ¢harrfJe to ensure the
smart management of data in compliance with regulatiry frameworks.
In summary the Charity contsnues to deliver a high44uality. costofficient service to a wide number of Kent
schools, encompassing a wide range of activities in support of Ihe development of employability skills, supporting
informed progression of choirE, with a partieular focus on the more vulnerable young people who face inherently
greater barriers and challenges fof successful progressi¢￿. The Charity continues to strNe to provide an effective
partnership between the business and educab.on sectors.

After makrng appropriate enquirres. the trustees ha￿ a ￿asOnable expe¢tstion that the charitable company
has adequate resources to continue in operational exISter￿ for the fores8eabb future. For this reason.
they continue to adopt the going co￿eM basis in preparing these financial statements. Furiher deiails

high quality engagemenl and experiences for all students. Whilst some programmes might rèach
smaller numbers the aim would be for all young people to have appropriate activities over the course of
the academic year. in many cases four or five times during the year- Work Experience. Professional
Guidance. Sector 5peci81isl project, Careers Exhibition. inleractive workshops lo name bul a few of ihe
possible engagements. The ongoing development and m8nagemenl of the Virtual Careers Platform wil I
form a key component for the delivery of the charity's service for young people in Kent.
Innovation and change remarn Core to the wk of E8P KenL each year a minimum ofthree new
kinds ofwork are developed to wease the range and form of employer engagement with schools.

The charitable company 15 a company limiled ty guarantee. The members of the company are
the Trustees named on page 1. In Ihe event of the charitable company bein9 wound up. the
liabilrty in respect of the guarantee is lirrdted to £1 per member of the charitable company.

Ggneral funds are unrestricted furKls which are availatle for use at the discretion ol the Trust88s in
furtherance of the genefal objeclives of the ¢haritsble company and which have not been
designaled for other purposes.

by donors or which have been raised by Ihe (*aritsble Company for particulai purw)ses. The Costs
of raising and administering such funt1s are charged against the spèctfi¢ fund. The aim and use of

probable that the income will be ￿ceiVed and the amount of ir￿rne receivable can be measured

of the settlement can be estimated reliabty. Liabilities are r8cognis8d at the amount ihat the charitable

reqUI￿d lo settle the Obl￿allOn. Where the effect of the ts.me value of money is material, the provision
is based on the preserbt value of Ihose amounts. discounted al the pre-tax discount rale that reflects
