Trustees Annual Report
For the year ended 31 December 2022
The Trustees who are also directors for the purposes of company law,have pleasure in presenting their report and unaudited financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2022.
Reference and Administrative details,together with a list of trustees are shown on page 1.
Seeds of Hope is a registered charity and is constituted as a company registered in England and limited by guarantee. its objects and powers are set out in its Memorandom and Articles of Association. The directors of Seeds of Hope are the Trustees, coliectively known as the board. This Board, by which Seeds of Hope is governed,comprises a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 12 Trustees. The Trustees are responsible for everything that Seeds of Hope does. However,to ensure Seeds of Hope is managed efficiently and effectively the Trustees have delegated a range of day to day decision making powers to the management.
The objectives and activities have been to support both new and existing voluntary and community groups of North Solihull by providing
Responsibities of the Trustees
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the trustees annual report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Company law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year. The financial statements are rquired by law to give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the surplus or deficit of the charity for that period.
In preparing those financial statements, the trustees are required to: select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently: make judgements that are reasonable and prudent; prepare the financial statements on a going concem basis unless it is inappropriate to do so.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time,the financial position of the charity and which enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act. The Trustees are also responsible for the safeguarding the assets of the organisation and for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud or other irregularities.
Accountants
A resolution to appoint Arden Associates Limited as accountants for the ensuing year will be proposed at the annual general meeting.
Small Company Provisions
This report has been prepared in accordance with the special provisions for small companies under Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006.
